Two exams done

Passed the first two microsoft exams for SQL. Now working on the Server exams. But the bigger question seems to be... Will California go broke? No jobs and high taxes make for a lousy future.

There's a growing trend, where job posting are listing little gotchas- local candidates only, current work experience. Even with certification, it's tough to get an interview. But on the other hand, there is wisdom from Monty Python and the Holy Grail-

After Bridgekeeper is ejected
...
Bedevere: How do know so much about swallows?
Arthur: Well, you have to know these things when you're a king, you know.

... I wonder why so many companies are suddenly so picky about where one lives and for whom one currently works? Could it be? Perhaps..., maybe, ... all those H1B visa holders? Nah, there's a shortage of qualified techies. Isn't there? Gotta raise the visa caps and bring in more, don't we? Or was it non-sense to begin with?

After Sir Robin is ejected...
Robin: I don't know that! (Ejection)
next,
Bridgekeeper: What, is your name?
Galahad: Sir Galahad of Camelot.
Bridgekeeper: What, is your quest?
Galahad: I seek the Grail.
Bridgekeeper: What, is your favourite colour?
Galahad: Blue. No, (Ejection)
Bridgekeeper: (laughs) Stop! What, is your name?
Arthur: It is Arthur, King of the Britons.
Bridgekeeper: What, is your quest?
Arthur: To seek the Holy Grail.
Bridgekeeper: What, is the employability of an unemployed geek?
Arthur: What do you mean? A citizen or an H1B geek?
Bridgekeeper: Huh? I-- I don't know that! (Ejection)
Bedevere: How do know so much about geeks?
Arthur: Well, you have to know these things when you're a king, you know.

Maybe it is time to become a "taxi" tango dancer, teach english in Tokyo or Bangkok, and finally get started on that novel...
