A lost decade?

The 90 day contract to hire has been extended another 90 days. Gee, three months of evaluation and still no offer of a job? What's up with that?
It's all that -change- what in the air and all. Health care, taxes, double dip, finance reform, states and cities on the verge of bankruptcy, immigration reform and a boat load of new regulations to match.
A little bird keeps chirping here and there about the sales Atlas Shrugged trending upward, right along with gold and unemployment.
Even the dude with the cardboard -electrical engineer needs work- that flips to read - yes, really, anything will help - has been joined by a couple others with similar signage for accounting, retail sales, and construction.
Glad were the days of headhunters calling and cajoling one to at least consider the job opening.
Guess this would be a good time to get my cardboard sign ready, just in case the bloody resume has no market traction.
